UP police slap NSA against Eve teasers

The trio had allegedly teased a girl when they were drunk. The bystanders beat them up and handed over to the police, who then booked them under the NSA.

Mobile cams are the new threat

Just the other day my friends and I were standing on the road after college, when suddenly these two boys passed by and clicked our snap on their camera phone. We felt so helpless. Before we could react the two guys had disappeared. The thought that some strange guys have our snap is very creepy. We can't do much so every time I hear a whistle or something like 'aati kya Khandala', I ignore it and walk away hoping that they will not persist

  1. Such incidents are very commonplace. And its not only in crowded places but even at tourist sites. A month ago I'd gone with a few of my friends to Vasai Fort. My friends included one guy and 3 girls. At the fort there was a group of boys who were fooling about. Along with them, there was a couple too who were 'very much into each other'. The boys started shooting the girls in our group with their mobile cameras. My friends became conscious and we moved from there. What surprised me is that although there was a girl in their midst, they didn't mind harassing other girls.

  2. There have been many a times when I walk to the railway station from college with a few of my female friends. And as the train passes on the platform there have always been whistling and comments passed by the males hanging on the doors. Although I give a dirty look back at the people in the speeding train my friends never even take notice. I, once, asked my friends as to why they don't give it back. They replied that if you do retaliate they become more happy as their action has not gone unnoticed and it has elicited a reaction from the female, which is exactly what they want!

  3. yep at times girls when surrounded by guys tend to enjoy the fun, they don't realise tomorrow they might be in the same situation, also about the second comment its sometimes more of frustration. We(girls) are all tired and returning back home, and facing this menace to add to it at times one tends to feel things are better left unnoticed. It is not like eve teasers don't realise how annoying their act is some being educated as well, they just like to indulge in it for fun without realising what they are putting the other person through.
